The installation of Comodo Firewall includes three network locations, each with suitable security levels for every: Home, Work, and Public/ communal. The operation of Comodo Firewall is similar to other commercial firewalls we have tried: once you open a site with the firewall enabled, you have to enable it by pressing a few buttons in the preferred location until you tell it to start to block, until you choose a specific program or web page to load. In the same way, when you choose a URL or program to load, it must be permitted by the firewall before loading. You can see all these actions in the Comodo Firewall interface.
There are a lot of advantages of using Comodo Firewall in comparison with other commercial antivirus products. The main advantage is its full website filtering capability. We have found that most of the problems we encounter with antivirus software were because it would block a potential threat from being allowed to load. With Comodo Firewall, even if some virus authors manage to get past the website filtering feature, they will not be able to access important parts of the infected website, nor will they be able to make changes to any of the computer systems on the server. This feature alone protects our data from serious threats.
Another great feature is the addition of a built-in Avira TV-out interface. This allows the user to log into a remote PC and have access to the Firewall in real-time. This has been especially handy for those who were not able to get online during the initial stages of the virus’s infection. Moreover, as we mentioned earlier, this feature blocks the use of many virus-influencing elements, which makes it more difficult for these people to infect our computers. This has helped us to limit the number of infections we have on our system and has reduced the risk of them spreading to other computers on the Internet.
Apart from the above mentioned benefits, there are a number of other advantages as well. One of them is the feature that blocks spyware and adware from loading. This can be enabled individually or by choosing to configure the firewall to check point zone alarm free firewall 2021 on a per-zone basis. Each time we are online, Comodo Firewall will send a ‘check point’ signal to the anti-virus program Avira. Once the virus definition has been correctly detected and removed from our computer, the next time we log onto the Internet, Avira will automatically load the latest definitions from the check point zone alarm free firewall.
Another major advantage of this type of firewall is its file rating methodology. Unlike some of the traditional antivirus applications, this product does not just limit the number of allowed infections. Instead, it also closely monitors each file that is saved on our computer. It then decides which files it deems to be less of a threat based on its own classification process. This means that even if you only have an application with a small amount of viruses, Comodo Firewall will still protect your computer against malicious attackers who may have hundreds of malware-hosting urls.
In addition to its effective antivirus protection and effective website filtering abilities, another feature that comes along with Comodo Firewall is a Web parental control module. With this module, you can set various rules that will block inappropriate websites. For example, you can instruct the module not to allow any media downloading content from certain websites. You can also instruct the module to only allow specific types of IMs and instant messaging. This will ensure that your kids are not inadvertently picking up malicious software while online.

( votes)Summary
For a relatively inexpensive paid product, Comodo Firewall definitely offers a healthy offering of added features. It will check to ensure that all outgoing and incoming traffic is legitimate, block malicious programs broadcasting your personal data, and notify you of any suspicious activity. If there’s any suspicious activity, it’ll notify you of it in advance. This is certainly a remarkable tool if you’re on the Internet and have ever had an experience where you needed to change your password, or had a file added to your system and didn’t realize it could’ve come from another location on the Internet.
In addition to this, there’s quite a lot of security through the Comodo Firewall’s parental controls, web filtering, and advanced port protection. It’ll protect against malicious bots, which can be a major problem if you use the Internet for business purposes on a regular basis, such as if you run an e-commerce site. There is a $40 dollar commercial version of this software available, which I haven’t tried but it sounds like it would be useful. The small fee is definitely worth it though, especially if you want to use a top of the line free firewall software. If you need more security, you may want to consider upgrading to the larger sized glasswire interface, which is still considerably smaller than the giant mini glassware.
Another great feature of this software is its customer support, which is provided by Comodo themselves and is absolutely top-notch. It’s always a pleasure to get help whenever I have a question about Comodo Firewall, whether it’s about the free version or the larger commercial option. They are extremely helpful and even go so far as to provide step-by-step instructions on the installation of their entire firewall system. In my opinion, the only real drawback to this piece of software is that it doesn’t work with Windows 2021, because it wasn’t developed for that OS.
